Greener Transport

The Norwich – Sheringham railway line (The Bittern Line) runs through the centre of the development.

We would like to have a rail halt here for quick, convenient and frequent travel to the city centre, for links to London and the Midlands, and the coast. This would be located where the railway crosses Green Lane, giving good access to and from the new homes, Thorpe End Garden Village, Dussindale Park and Broadland Business Park.

Anglian Buses and First Eastern Counties Buses run services through Thorpe End and Dussindale Park. We will work with the bus companies to provide improved and new bus routes to serve the new homes and the business park as well as benefit existing homes in the area.

Cycleways and footpaths

A network of cycleways, footpaths and, potentially, bridle paths will be provided to link up the whole area with the paths that currently cross Broadland Business Park and the communities to the south. We also have the chance to remove cars from Green Lane and turn this into a ‘green way’.
